n-Octadecyltrimethoxysilane CAS: 3069-42-9
n-Octadecyltrimethoxysilane, ChangFu® C1832 is an organosilane with long alkyl chains. It is often utilized for surface modification of nanoparticles. Because it can form a hydrophobic layer on surface with a high-water contact angle and low surface energy, it’s also used to prepare superhydrophobic materials. Its melting point is 15~18°C so it usually turns to be solid when the storage temperature exceeds 15°C.
